The areas at a glance

The Adriatic (Croatia, Montenegro) is considered a beginner-friendly area with short legs, the Aegean a classic for island hopping and the western Mediterranean a destination for swimming bays and glamour. The eastern Mediterranean with Malta and Cyprus extends the season.

Best time

From May to October conditions are good across the whole Mediterranean. If you want to avoid the heat and high-season prices, charter in May/June or in September.
