Trogir is a compact, UNESCO-listed medieval town just minutes from Split's airport — a quieter alternative starting point for the same beautiful Dalmatian sailing grounds.
Trogir is one of the best-preserved medieval towns on the Adriatic. The compact island town is ringed by canals; its old town is UNESCO World Heritage (since 1997). The Cathedral of St Lawrence, with its 13th-century Radovan Portal, is a masterpiece of art history.
Trogir lies just 20 kilometres west of Split with the same access to the Dalmatian islands. ACI Marina Trogir is one of Croatia's largest and best-equipped marinas and home port of many charter fleets. Saturdays see lively boat changeovers.
From Trogir you sail south to the islands of Čiovo, Šolta, Brač and Hvar. Particularly lovely is the sheltered bay of Maslinica on Šolta, ideal for an evening anchorage. Northwards you reach Drvenik Veli and Drvenik Mali with their picturesque coves.
Though only a few kilometres from Split, Trogir charters tend to be cheaper. The old town has many waterside restaurants and bars, so the first evening after arrival is sure to be memorable.

FAQ
Both bases give access to the same cruising area. Trogir is somewhat cheaper and quieter; Split has a larger choice of boats and more urban flair. ACI Marina Trogir is regarded as one of the best-organised marinas on the Adriatic.
Split Airport (SPU) lies right between Split and Trogir, only about 5 km from the marina. A taxi or shuttle takes under 10 minutes.
Yes, there are berths for smaller yachts along the town promenade (Riva). For larger boats, ACI Marina is the better option. Town-wall berths are in great demand and should be reserved.
