FAQ

Quick answers.

The essentials on cost, process and booking.

All guides

What does a yacht charter cost?
Sailing yachts start at about €2,500 per week in the low season, catamarans from about €4,800, small motor yachts from about €2,600. In peak season (July/August) prices are considerably higher, often double. Extras such as final cleaning, fuel, port fees and deposit are stated clearly by the operator in the offer.
Do I need a licence?
It depends on the region and the yacht. With a skipper you can charter without a licence. Bareboat requires a boating or sailing licence depending on the country.
Skippered or bareboat?
With a skipper (and optional crew) you relax completely, bareboat means you skipper the yacht yourself. We advise what suits your experience and group.
When is the best time to go?
Depending on the region: Adriatic and Mediterranean from May to October, Caribbean from December to April. Details are on the destination pages.
How does booking work?
You send a non-binding inquiry and a suitable operator replies with an offer. Contract and payment are handled directly with the operator.
