Yacht charter Šibenik

Destination

Šibenik

Croatia · Adriatic

Šibenik is one of Croatia's oldest towns and offers sailors a calmer cruising ground than the better-known Split. The nearby Krka National Park with its spectacular waterfalls and the sheltered islands of the Šibenik archipelago make this starting point especially attractive.

Šibenik – Sailing Centre of Central Dalmatia

Šibenik lies between Zadar and Split and is still somewhat underrated by international charterers, which is an advantage: it is less busy, berths are cheaper and the atmosphere more authentic. The old town, with the Cathedral of St James, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2000, is a striking sight.

Krka National Park

Krka National Park lies only a few kilometres inland and is connected to the sea by the River Krka. Sailors can visit the waterfalls at Skradinski Buk by dinghy or on a local boat. The entrance via the Krka estuary is a unique experience.

Kornati National Park lies just off Šibenik and is also ideally reached from here. ACI Marina Šibenik is modern and offers every service charter yachts need.

The Šibenik Archipelago

The islands of Zlarin, Prvić and Žirje are easily reached by sailing boat. Zlarin is known for its coral craftsmanship; Prvić offers peaceful harbours and the grave of the Croatian inventor Fausto Veranzio. Žirje is the outermost island of the Šibenik archipelago and offers secluded anchorages and unspoilt nature.

Are there direct flights to Šibenik?

Šibenik has no airport of its own. The nearest airports are Split (about 70 km) and Zadar (about 80 km), both easily reached by bus or hire car.
