Packing List for Your Yacht Charter
Luggage
Soft travel bags instead of hard-shell suitcases — storage space on board is limited and oddly shaped. A waterproof dry bag for valuables and electronics is a must.
Clothing
Quick-drying technical clothing, non-slip deck shoes, a windproof jacket even in summer (it cools down in the evening and underway), plus plenty of sun protection.
Documents
Passport/ID, boating license and radio certificate (if bareboat), health insurance documentation, printed booking confirmation.
What Stays Home
Hard-shell suitcases, excessive electronics, perfume spray bottles (fire hazard in tight cabins), and unnecessarily large amounts of cash.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need my own towels on board?
With most charters, bed and bath linens are included or available for a small additional fee — check with the operator in advance.
